Optimization of In Vitro Propagation of Pear (Pyrus communis L.) ‘Pyrodwarf®(S)’ Rootstock

چکیده
Pears are among the most economically important fruits in world that grown all temperate zones. Pyrus communis L., ‘Pyrodwarf®(S)’ rootstock is one of gene sources used to improve fruit productivity, resistance, and tolerance biotic abiotic stresses. Traditional propagation P. L. time-consuming limited by a short growing season harsh winter conditions. Therefore, vitro suitable alternative. Murashige Skoog medium (MS) woody plant (WPM) supplemented with different concentrations 6-benzyladenine (BA) kinetin (Kin), individually or combination, were for shoot proliferation. Nodal segments as explants. MS augmented indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) indole-3-acetic (IAA) was then rooting microshoots. A combination 2 mg·L?1 BA 1 Kin resulted significant improvement This produced highest number shoots (4.352 per explant) leaves (10.02 explant). The longest (4.045 cm) obtained WPM enriched BA. However, these not multiplication steps. largest roots (5.50 microshoot) on IAA at mg·L?1. plantlets cultivated pots filled perlite cocopeat (in ratio 1:3) acclimatized gradually greenhouse, recording an even 90% survival rate.

Study of factors affecting direct shoot regeneration of pear (Pyrus communis L.)
Conventional methods of pear breeding, largely based on intra- and inter-specific hybridization, are difficult because pear is highly heterozygous, polygenic and has a long juvenile period. Genetic improvements of pear cultivars are possible through induction of mutations and gene transfer by genetic engineering. A general prerequisite for these approaches is to establish an efficient plant reg...
متن کاملvariation in some european pear (pyrus communis l.) seedling rootstock populations using morphological chracteristics
many characteristics of pear trees such as growth, fruit size and yield, are influenced by the genetic characteristic of the rootstocks. in iran, mainly european pear seedlings (pyrus communis l.) are used as the rootstock in the pear orchards. thus, evaluation of pear seedling rootstocks is an important task. this experiment was conducted in 2009 and 2010 growing seasons in order to explore th...
متن کاملThe Draft Genome Sequence of European Pear (Pyrus communis L. ‘Bartlett’)
We present a draft assembly of the genome of European pear (Pyrus communis) 'Bartlett'. Our assembly was developed employing second generation sequencing technology (Roche 454), from single-end, 2 kb, and 7 kb insert paired-end reads using Newbler (version 2.7). It contains 142,083 scaffolds greater than 499 bases (maximum scaffold length of 1.2 Mb) and covers a total of 577.3 Mb, representing ...
متن کاملProtein Synthesis and Breakdown during Heat Shock of Cultured Pear (Pyrus communis L.) Cells.
Cultured pear (Pyrus communis L. cv Passe Crassane) cells were subjected to temperatures of 39, 42, and 45[deg]C. Heat-shock protein (hsp) synthesis was greater at 30[deg]C than at temperatures above 40[deg]C and continued for up to 8 h. Both cellular uptake of radiolabeled methionine and total protein synthesis were progressively lower as the temperature was increased. Polysome levels decrease...
متن کاملModulation of antioxidant compounds in organic vs conventional fruit (peach, Prunus persica L., and pear, Pyrus communis L.).
Despite the increasing interest in organic products, knowledge about how different levels of fertilization affect nutritionally relevant components is still limited. The concentration of polyphenols and the activity of polyphenoloxidase (PPO), together with the content in ascorbic acid, citric acid, and alpha- and gamma-tocopherol, were assayed in conventional and organic peach (Prunus persica ...
